Ominvest’s single largest investment is its banking subsidiary which has contributed significantly to the Group’s success since inception. It was established in October 1984 with Ominvest and Arab Bank PLC of Jordan as principal shareholders. Oman Arab Bank began its operations in the Sultanate of Oman after acquiring the branches of Arab Bank PLC. Key services: Corporate & Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Retail & Consumer Banking, Project Finance and Trade Finance.

National Finance Company SAOG is a leading finance company in the Sultanate of Oman. Established in 1987, and headquartered at Muscat, National Finance has four branches across the Sultanate of Oman. National Finance offers a wide range of leasing, credit and other products to corporate and retail customers with a focus on Small and Medium Enterprises.

Modern Steel Mills LLC was set up in the year 2001 to manufacture steel billets, with a capacity of 180,000 MT per annum. The steel billets are sold to rolling mills making long products (construction rods, bar-section, and channels) in Oman, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, typically serving the construction industry in the region.

National Detergent Company SAOG was established in 1981 by a group of Omani investors. The Company manufactures and distributes leading detergent powders, liquid detergents, toilet soaps, shampoos and industrial cleaners. It is the first soap and detergent company in the GCC to receive the prestigious ISO 9001 certification. It was voted ‘Greatest Brand’ by Observer Brand Survey in 2010-11, and voted ‘Superbrand’ Oman 2009.

Digital Domain Media Group (DDMG) is an Academy Award-winning digital production company focused on CG motion picture graphics, digital animation, 3D conversion, advertizing production, video games, visual effects, military simulation, and for-profit digital media education. Its Digital Domain subsidiary has more than 80 films to its credit that that have collectively generated over $13 billion in worldwide box office receipts. Some of the completed projects include Star Trek, Transformers, The Mummy, Pirates of the Caribbean, 2012, and Thor. Its motion picture projects that have received Oscars for visual effects include Titanic, What Dreams May Come, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. DDMG is also developing family-oriented animated feature films and video games on its artistic platform, and has recently instituted a for-profit educational facility with Florida State University offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in visual effects, animation, and video game design.

A key strategic initiative by Ominvest, the project, located in the Dhofar region of Oman, is a high quality, differentiated Integrated Tourism Complex (ITC) resort to be developed on a 4 km² oceanfront site overlooking the Indian Ocean.
